Blanco Fails to Fund Road Home

The State has funded the Road Home program with $7.5 billion in federal taxpayer money, but based on present statistics, Bobby Jindal points out that the giveaway program is $2 billion short. Governor Blanco admits that the program is underfunded, but I am shocked to report that she blames someone else for the problem and wants Washington to bail her out by giving the State more money.

You blame Kathlene Blanco for the wrong thing. She and her OCD (Office of Community Development) set up an overly restrictive plan under the premise of fraud prevention. The money has not gotten out to the people who are fully invested of the rebuilding of south Louisiana fast enough. Pyish "Bobby" Jindal has had his nose firmly planted up George Bush's ass for the last six years and has not ever called him on any of his empty promises. We had a Federal Flood, the Road Home Program is a HUD/ federally funded program. The dollars you can not blame on Governor Blanco.

That argument is like an employee going out and buying a house he can't afford and then blaming his employer for not paying him enough when he can't make the mortgage payments. This is simple arithmetic. She had X dollars to spread to Y people and she overpromised when she still thought she had a chance of running for reelection.

The money Louisiana already got didn't end up where it should have. That will hurt doubly, because I wouldn't be expecting any more when we can't show how we spent the first rounds of funds.

I agree, Jane.
