Krewe d'Etat plans to take a new Uptown route for Mardi Gras 2009, starting on Jefferson, turning on Magazine, then to Napoleon and St. Charles.

Nooooooo! We historically watch KdT on Napoleon before Mag. :( :( :(
That starting corridor along Napoleon is always so crowded. Now, I guess people who only care about KdT will spread out along the earlier part of the route, but anyone inclined to watch on the river side of Magazine will move up past Magazine. It's cool for KdT to establish its own unique route.
