Joey Chestnut Defeats Takeru Kobayashi

After all the intrigue over six time defending world champion TakeruKobayashi's jaw injury, American underdog challenger Joey Chestnut ate a world record 66 hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes to win the championship. Kobayashi ate 63 but had a controversial "reversal of fortune" (i.e., he threw up) in the closing seconds which can lead to a disqualification or reduction in score.
